Transnet Corporate Centre is recruiting dynamic, recently qualified graduates in Internal Auditing or Accounting for a 24-month structured programme accredited by the Institute of Internal Auditors SA (IIASA). The role offers hands-on training, exposure to various business areas, and the opportunity to support audit teams in delivering assignments, testing controls, preparing reports, and contributing to investigations. Applicants must hold a National Diploma or BCom in Internal Auditing/Accounting, be South African citizens aged 18–35, and have strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Shadow experienced staff across various functions to gain practical skills
• Participate in learning experiences, attend meetings and workshops
• Support audit teams by performing audit tests, documenting systems, testing controls, and preparing working papers
• Engage with customers to understand their needs, determine urgency, and provide progress updates
• Represent Internal Audit in working groups, contributing to strong systems of control
• Assist in investigations by planning and conducting preliminary reviews and preparing reports
• Track and monitor the compilation, approval, and timely submission of Transnet Internal Audit (TIA) reports to relevant governance forums

Qualifications

• National Diploma or BCom Degree in Internal Auditing or Accounting
• 0–1 year of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Must be a South African citizen
• Age between 18 and 35 years
